Ultra Filtration Plant is a sophisticated water treatment process. The UF system uses semi-permeable membrane technology to remove impurities and contaminants from the water and ensure a clean and safe water supply. The process removes contaminants that can impact the turbidity and overall quality of water.
The ultrafiltration membranes’ pore size is smaller than microfiltration. The size can vary between 0.01 to 0.08 microns.
The UF System works using a semi-permeable membrane to filter the water and remove the contaminants. The water is directed in cross-flow through the membrane to the water molecules to pass through, but restricting large particles. The other side of the membrane collects the filtered water, as the contaminants and impurities are washed and collected in a separate stream.
The byproducts of the UF plants are purified water and rejected water, which are impurities and contaminants. The filtered water is used for various purposes, such as drinking and industrial purposes, while the rejected water is treated further.
